Too Blue

When I step back and look at my painting, there is one thing I immediately notice - it's too blue, almost monochromatic. There are a few elements of the painting that have improved. It now has a more pleasing arrangement of the palm leaves. It looks better with the island removed and the sailboat implied on the horizon. The big problem, in my opinion, is that the painting has too much blue. Boring! I plan to take the sky and change it to a sunset and that will add a bit of drama.
