This is a reworked painting.

Lavender Field with Mountain and Tree, Reworked Once More

LAVENDER FIELD WITH MOUNTAIN AND TREE , REVISITED ONCE MORE

11 x 14 inch Acrylic on Gallery Wrapped Canvas

I wasn't completely happy with my attempt to rework this painting, so I worked on it once again. This time I am much happier with the result and think I have managed to obtain a sense of depth that the previous tempts had failed to do. Previous attempts shown below.

After painting and selling several koi pond paintings, I visited Hakoni Gardens which is a Japanese garden located nearby. I took several photos to paint at a later time. This is the first painting inspired by that visit. A graphic technique was used on this painting.

Keeping the Customer Happy

KEEPING THE CUSTOMER HAPPY

These two paintings were painted at separate times, but sold to the same customer. The buyer asked me to make a few subtle changes to make these two paintings look like they go together because they will be hung in the same room. I added more detail to the first painting and the second painting required darker blues in part of the background. I was happy with the result and so was the person who bought the paintings.
